We understand the importance of transparency and communication, especially when it comes to projects that directly impact the daily lives of students, faculty, and staff. This page will feature regular updates, including photos and important announcements, allowing everyone on campus to stay up-to-date with the progress, milestones, and any potential disruptions related to the construction work. You will also find project renderings of what the project and space will look like upon completion.
January Project Updates

The project is still tracking for completion in April.

The drywall is getting spackled and sanded and will be completely finished early this month

Painting of the walls and ceilings has begun

Where the ceilings are painted, the Acoustical Tile Ceiling grid install has begun

The Men’s and Women’s bathrooms have tile installed and the toilets are about to go in

The light fixtures are about to start install following the ceiling grid installation.

Flooring outside of the bathroom areas is starting early February

Interior storefront glass will start going in at the end of the month

The casework and decorative wall panels are in fabrication and will be installed at the end of the month.

The new Sprinkler system is just about done and a new Water Line has been installed from the building to the street curb.

The New Electrical Gear has been fully installed

Exterior Window Demolition on 2nd floor is progressing and expected to complete at the beginning of February.
December Project Updates
- Wrapping up all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sprinkler rough installation and inspection.
- Drywall installation will be completed in the next week.
- The bathroom areas are ahead with drywall already finished and painting just completed. Will be starting the tile next week.
- Received our outstanding electrical equipment and coordinating shutdown to switch over the building systems.
- Will begin painting all other walls at the end of the month.
- Have begun demolition on the 2nd floor to prepare for the 6 new storefront windows to be added up there.
November Project Updates
- Framing, blocking, and electrical are now complete.
- Some areas of new plumbing are finished and receiving insulation, other plumbing install will take place after other work is complete.
- Ductwork is almost all hung and will be inspected by the city soon.
- Sprinkler piping is about to be delivered and will begin its install into the ceilings.
- While the campus is on break the temporary wall will be removed to allow progress to be made on the new vestibule, security office, and elevator entrance.
October Project Updates
- Metal Stud Framing Install is complete and the city inspection passed
- Wood blocking is installed for future casework and other wall mounted items.
- All welded door frames have been installed
- Pre-Drywall Electrical installs are just about complete and will be inspected soon
- The Plumbing Piping for the new bathrooms is well underway
- Mechanical ductwork and new Sprinkler Install will be starting soon
September Project Updates
We are now well underway with wall layout and framing and should have all walls up in the next two weeks. Electrical rough ins are underway with lots of conduit installed at the underside or deck and soon to start in walls. Wrapping up the last of the plumbing demolition this week and then will start running new for the bathrooms. Upcoming items include setting door frames and mechanical rough ins.
August Project Updates
- We have isolated the 1st floor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to allow construction to progress without affecting the lower level or 2nd floor.
- We are well underway with demolition of the 1st floor interior and have removed all finishes, interior walls, and fixtures in preparation for the new building layout.
- We have begun saw cutting the new window openings in the 1st floor building exterior to accommodate the 6 new floor to ceiling windows to be installed this fall.
- We will have the space ready and intend to begin the new interior renovations at the start of September. This will kick off with layout and framing of the new walls.
