Poole Anderson Construction brings a comprehensive approach to the commercial construction process. With our expertise, innovation and experience, we can help you realize your vision. Read on to learn what makes Poole Anderson Construction a trusted partner for large-scale commercial construction projects.

History and Background

Formed in 1999 by merging two commercial construction companies, Poole Anderson Construction offers services spanning diverse industries and business applications. L.C. Anderson & Sons was founded in 1924 and provided services in the educational, industrial, medical and institutional markets. They merged with S&A Commercial Construction, whose services were centered on commercial and multi-family housing construction. The merger united diverse talents, driving many successful commercial building projects and partnerships.

Poole Anderson Construction continues this legacy by maintaining a team of craftsmen and personnel devoted to meeting every construction challenge with integrity, expertise and innovation. We ensure that our workforce is reliable, our schedules are realistic, and our estimates are accurate.

Our Approach to Commercial Construction

At Poole Anderson Construction, we take a comprehensive approach to commercial construction, steadily improving and refining our full-service capability to ensure timely, quality results. We value collaboration and constant communication, working closely with you at every step of the process. Our commercial construction approach includes these crucial elements:

Effective Planning

Careful planning and organization are crucial for the success of any large-scale commercial construction project. They ensure that your project is completed on time so that you can generate the most revenue possible. In the development and planning phase, you lay the foundation for the rest of the project and influence the trajectory of the remaining steps.

Poole Anderson Construction has extensive experience budgeting commercial projects early and maintaining that budget through to completion, making us an ideal partner for your project. We’ll help you define your project needs, select a location, conduct feasibility studies and ensure state and federal grant compliance.

Collaboration

We are well-invested in your vision, expectations and results. Poole Anderson Construction gives you total oversight over the building process, ensuring transparency and collaboration at every step. When you partner with us, you get to work closely with industry experts who are invested in the fine details of each project. We’ll identify common challenges before they arise, providing innovative solutions to ensure your success.

Sustainability

Poole Anderson Construction incorporates sustainable construction practices into each project, which can reduce your ecological footprint while adding value to your commercial property. We can help you meet your sustainability goals using energy-efficient designs, renewable materials and proper waste management techniques.

Our organized workflows, seamless transition to the construction phase and top-quality control protocols ensure the timely execution of your project. We leverage the power of technology integration in construction, offering advanced solutions to achieve higher-quality results. Our customized technologies can also enhance communication and coordination, ultimately increasing efficiency.

Poole Anderson Construction’s expert execution strategies ensure your project is completed on time while maintaining a safe site for all employees, construction personnel and the surrounding community.

Project Management Process

Poole Anderson Construction is committed to the success of every building project, offering innovative solutions at each step. Our highly skilled team leverages over 100 years of experience to provide both construction knowledge and total project coordination, helping you achieve your goals as you focus on your daily operations.

The project management process includes:

  1. Planning: Our Construction Management (CM) delivery method includes integrating with the contractor early in the planning and design process. You’ll receive early and accurate cost estimates, practical schedules and performance metrics to help your project succeed.
  2. Design: The Design-Build phase is a collaborative process between you and our designers. During this phase, we’ll define the project’s scope and vision while ensuring adherence to your budget and needs.
  3. Project execution: Next, our team will work with you to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), transferring the risk to us. Our execution success strategies include detailed logistics plans and constructability methods.

By taking a holistic construction management approach, Poole Anderson Construction can help you plan your commercial building steps and later phases, giving you more control over project costs to keep construction within the established budget.

Quality Control and Safety Measures

Safety and quality control are our top priorities at Poole Anderson Construction. We integrate these values into the planning and execution phases and every team member’s responsibilities, starting their first day of work. All employees must attend a comprehensive safety orientation before beginning work, followed by extensive on-site training tailored to each job’s performance activities.

Our safety training includes the minimum requirements outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the best practices we have developed in our 100 years of construction experience. The following is our daily three-step safety process and quality control measures in commercial construction projects:

  • Evaluation: First, we evaluate the site, scope of work and surrounding areas to develop a Site-Specific Safety Plan for all projects, outlining the precise steps for the safety and quality of the project.
  • Communication: We communicate clearly with all personnel before and during each project to ensure a safe work environment. We find that projects that begin with collaboration on budget, schedule and design lead to higher-quality results, and we ensure that we complete them in a shorter time frame that meets your expectations.
  • Proper signage and barricades: We place appropriate signage in the correct locations to ensure all travel in and around the site is clear and to protect people on and near the project site.

With 100 years of construction experience, Poole Anderson Construction has the expertise and knowledge to complete your project without accidents or injuries. We work closely with our clients, design team, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the safety of all site employees and the general public. Through these strong partnerships, we promote a safe and secure working environment and a successful project end.
